DRIVING THE COASTAL HIGHWAY 101

We have been meandering down the highway for the past few days, making slow progress.  Our days consist of packing the truck, drive for seven hours, unpack the truck, sleep and repeat.  We have seen some beautiful sights - the ocean, lighthouses and little coastal towns like Seaside, Oregon.  We intended on staying for one night but ended up staying for two because of the amazing view from our beachside hotel.

It was a blessing in disguise because we all really needed a break from driving!

After our break, we continued on south and without even realizing it we weren't wearing coats anymore - we must be making some progress!!

this bridge is two miles long over the outlet of the Columbian river

We now find ourselves in Florence, Oregon - mapping out our route through California.
