Purchased in February 2008 - she has been the source of many heated discussions.

  • frankensteined 1976 - 1982 inline 5 Mercedes Benz diesel / bored 0.020" over naturally aspirated 
  • electric cooling fan
  • MG racing plate style oil cooler
  • 28 - 32 mpg's american gallon empty/ 23 mpg's fully loaded  average over 7990 miles
  • 0 - 60 mile/hr times - eventually 
  • this engine has prechambers  allowing pretty much any fuel type veggie oil etc 
drive train
  • series III full syncro transmission and gear drive transfer case
  • fairey overdrive 
  • 4.75 rear end (4 low is 41:1 now that's low)
  • rear detroit true trac gear drive limited slip
suspension
  • rocky mountain rover parabolics - 2 leaf in the front with a helper, 3 leaf in the back with a helper

  •  new electrical

  •  new tires (235/85r16 Toyo M 55 commercial grade 10 ply off road tires) 
  •  new wolf wheels (1/4 inch thick will not bend)
  •  new corbeau suspension seats
  •  sound proofing (layers upon layers) (still loud)
  •  oil pan heater (minus 30'c weather in Canada was necessary)
  •  roof rack 
  •  new windshield
  •  window tinting
  •  new door locks
  •  new security alarm (and many other security measures)
  •  custom built stowage and sleeping deck
  •  remote breathers for all drive train components (wading depth 2' ft I am a pessimist reality is up to the bottom of the headlights)
  •  all stowage is water tight (thanks to pelican cases and seal line bags)
